This wonderful Daylily has stood the test of time (introduced in 1976!) and is still one of the most satisfactory reds for the home garden. Its blooms of brilliant velvety red are an impressive 6 inches across and absolutely will not fade under even the hottest sun. The plants are so vigorous that they produce a second spate of bloom later in the season, and the foliage is thick and attractive, especially if watered during drought. Strong stems and a high bud count mean a big show in the garden. 6-inch blooms on 26-inch stems in the Early Season and on into the Midseason, with a repeat in late summer. Hemerocallis 'Baja'
