Going Bananas Daylily
Blooms Nonstop from Early Summer to Fall!

Just recently appearing on the Daylily scene, this variety is loaded with great features! It blooms continuously (rather than repeatedly with rest periods between) from early summer through fall; the blooms are 4 inches across, much bigger than any other early yellow with a long period of recurrent bloom; and the flower form is excellent, with broad ruffled petals that spread wide to maximize the color show. In addition, the flowers open fully even after cool nights, which is important since Going Bananas keeps blooming into the fall. Each scape will have a very respectable 15 buds, but the impressive display comes from the large number of scapes produced by the constant growth of new fans on the extremely vigorous plants. One more point - the color is clear lemon yellow, rather than the heavier gold tones of other Daylilies in this category.
