One of our personal favorites for the sheer beauty of the coral-tangerine color, not to mention the sheer quantity of blooms from the astounding 30-35 blooms per scape! Imagine a mature clump with 20 to 30 scapes, each with 30 to 35 buds - that's well over 500 blooms! You'll have many weeks of flowers just from the main Midseason bloom period, and then comes the added bonus of a later repeat bloom! Of course, you need multiple branches to make the most of all these blooms, and South Seas comes through on that count, too, as well as overall vigor so it doesn't take forever to start reaching its potential. The blooms have a really nice form, too, with the petals opening out nicely from a triangular eye to show off lush tropical colors and luxuriant ruffles. This one is a show-stopper! 5.5-inch blooms open in abundance in Midseason, then repeat in Late Season. Hemerocallis 'South Seas'
