Brilliant Non-Fading Orange and Red in Charming Small Scale!

Famed Daylily Breeder Patrick Stamile apparently likes this color scheme, because he has a number of Tiger-named Daylilies in hot shades of orange with big, bold red eyes. This one is a miniature version of Bold Tiger, also listed on this site, and is it a knock-out! Radiant blooms make a big display by sheer numbers, rather than huge size, and they are beautifully displayed on candelabra-branched scapes. Very vigorous and prolific (as one would expect from Stamile), Tiger Kitten is a great performer in the garden. Its smaller size makes it ideal to grow in a container, or tuck into a small space among your perennials, and we personally think it is especially striking facing down the taller Bold Tiger - a real show-stopper combination!
